We each have an approach to how we form habits. Understanding how we form those habits is key to making sustainable changes in our life that can improve our health and our healthspan, or otherwise said, our healthy aging. Dr. Harrison will walk us through a framework to understand how we form habits and how the power of lifestyle medicine can allow you to restructure your moment-to-moment decisions in way that improves your health alongside your longevity.
Dr. Raquel will explore:
- Your individual habit formation style
- Your moment-to-moment decision making more conscious or unconscious
- Practical tips to add healthy habits or improve upon existing habits in your life
- Practical tips to reframe your health mindset from surviving to thriving
- A basic introduction into Lifestyle Medicine and its potential impact on your health
Dr. Raquel Harrison is dual board certified in Emergency Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. After being an emergency physician for over a decade, Dr. Harrison started to pursue lifestyle medicine because so much of what she saw her patients struggle with in the emergency department was a culmination of years of lifestyle decisions. She now hopes to encourage people to reframe how they approach moment-to-moment decisions so that they can feel empowered and ultimately thrive as they live to 85 and beyond.
